Waterville Valley Ski Resort in Waterville Valley NH had a banner year this years with 150 days of skiing; the longest season on record. Each year on closing day there are Sping-type events with a luau and Pond Skimming. This year, the season was extended by one week to 4/14/13 but the events originally planned for closing on 4/6/13 occurred as planned. To put this in perspective, the temp at the top of the lift was posted at 11F but by 2 PM had risen to 18F. Now, consider coming down into a pond of "toasty water".
