The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival now celebrating its 50th Anniversary does a beautiful job celebrating the legends who have presented at the Festival or were perhaps part of the backbone of the production over the years. Those celebrated include performers, food vendors, photographers and some others who have been involved in the production. This is a massive undertaking, this year featuring 14 stages all playing simultaneously. It is honorable that the Festival builds its future through recognition and honor of those who have come before. This place set up at the back portion of the Congo Square Stage is like a sanctuary. Step inside, look around, say thanks for these folks have laid the very foundation of America's music.
