I went to hear The Al Copley Quintet at The Knickerbocker in Westerly, RI on April 6, 2012. The group feuatres Al Copley, pianist extraordinaire and his group: Jimmy "B" Biggins (tenor sax) Scott Aruda (trumpet) Lou Bocciarelli (upright bass) and Steve "Big Swing" Peck on drums. Al Copley proved himself to be the gold standard for boogie-woogie piano stylings and his showmanship reinforced his playing to the max. Enjoy my photos which walk the viewer through the set and demonstrate his electrifying style. The band was magnificent and had "Elgin movements" all night long.
