Jonny Lang Highlights
Jon Gordon Langseth Jr., 37, known as Jonny Lang, is an American blues, gospel, and rock singer, songwriter, guitarist and recording artist. He has five albums that charted on the top 50 of the Billboard 200 chart and has won a Grammy Award for Turn Around. See his full bio here on Wiki at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonny_Lang.
Jonny Lang and his band appeared at The Narrows in Fall River on October 15, 2018, a Monday night. Don't make assumptions about Monday nights. The place was packed and they have done some remodeling in there since my last visit and added some comfy bleacher style seating directly across from the stage. This is where I took up residence for the night except for the 5 minutes up front on the first song - that's where and when the majority of these shots were taken. Lang has an exceptionally rare voice and plays with a lot of enthusiasm. He's a photographer's delight with a lot of posturing and mugging. He's only 37 now and won a Grammy for a multi-platinum release when he was 16! He's a crowd pleaser.
The warm up act was Lang's rhythm player, Zane Carney (Great nephew of the famous Art Carney). He has his own story to tell and details are noted under his solo photos. He's a very accomplished guitarist who used loop sequences sometimes 6 layers deep - all harmonically interconnected. His voice was also very enjoyable with a range up into the stratosphere. This fellow is one to watch. Enjoy a quick view of a 5-7 minute outtake of the evening.
