Marshall Tucker Band Highlights
The Marshall Tucker Band https://www.marshalltucker.com/ passed through Rhode Island last night for a sold out show at the Greenwich Odeum https://www.greenwichodeum.com/. Most in attendance had purchased their tickets 2 years ago and were finally able to see the band fronted by original member, Doug Gray. They played a full 2 hours and covered all of their hits and then some including: Take the Highway; Fire on the Mountain; Heard It in a Love Song; Ramblin; I Should Have Never Started Lovin You; Can't You See. The audience enthusiastically supported the band singing all the choruses (and some verses). The band delivered with authority while the lead vocals were sometimes an octave lower than normal. When having technical challenges, Gray stepped off the stage and featured Chris Hicks and Marcus James Henderson on a Hicks original Georgia Moon, which was the show stopper for me.
All attendants showed proof of vax and wore masks throughout the show giving a sense of comfort and safety to all. The Odeum is doing a great job of bringing live entertainment back to the people. Support Live Music and Venues!
